The Blubber Pad is part of Organic's system to make bouldering projects as safe as possible for those ratchety old ankles and knees. All pad people know that the most feared landing situation is pitching off a highball and screaming directly into that haunting blank spot where a couple pads meet up. Foot lands between pads, ankle eminates a sound like a shotgun, bouldering season on hiatus for three months.
The Blubber, a seamless mat of 1" dense closed cell foam that unfurls to 6' x 4', is meant to blanket those seams and mostly eliminate ankle-twisting nightmare falls. Toss it over talus, lay it over muddy or snowy landings, or use it as your road trip bed in the back of your rig.
