Down low, EnergyCell EVA provides plenty of shock absorption while Salomon's All Terrain Contagrip outside tackles any surface in any condition. SensiFit construction cradles the foot from the midsole to the Quicklace lacing system, providing a secure, snug, and virtually customized fit all around the foot. And, as always, up top you'll enjoy stitch-free upper construction for a smooth, glove-like fit.
A note on the outro - the XA Pro 3D V8 is one of the classic genre-splicing shoes. This trail monster hikes just as well as it runs!
