Volunteer Trail Work and Climbing Day at Staunton State Park

Volunteer Trail Work and Climbing Day at Staunton State Park

Looking for a way to give back to the local climbing community, have fun, and meet other climbers?

Join the Volunteer Trail Work and Climbing Day at Staunton, sponsored by Wilderness Exchange Unlimited, Sunday, June 2. The trail work will be for the unpublished, north side of the Sawmill Crag at Staunton State Park. There will be a raffle with climbing prizes provided by Wilderness Exchange.

Staunton climbing volunteers will provide all trail tools and lead the trail work. All participants will need to sign a waiver. The approach to the crag is about a 45-minute hike and we will aim for about 4 hours of trail work, followed by some climbing.

When: Sunday, June 2, 8am to 6pm

Where: Meet at Lazy V Parking Lot at Staunton State Park - there will be reserved parking for this event

What to Bring: Work gloves, water, food, rain gear, sunscreen, climbing gear. Wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops).
