Salomon's women's X Ultra Trek GTX hiking boot is constructed with lightweight materials and welded seams, making this a one percenter when it comes to ultralight hikers. The Ultra X Treks remain durable, however, on account of the full-grain nubuck leather upper and bomber outsole. With an Avanced Chassis buried beneath the rubber outsole, this boot provides primo lateral support and underfoot rock protection, while the grippy outsole itself provides top of class traction, especially on softer surfaces.
Because you never truly know how those Colorado skies will be feeling in 15 minutes, this boot also features full Gore-Tex waterproof protection as well as a water repellent treatment over the leather, ensuring the boot won't grow ridiculously heavy and unwieldy in a downpour.
