Dynafit Free 97 Ski - Women's
After the Dynafit ski factory went up in flames last year, it was anyone's guess when their new Free line would hit the shelves. Well, after pushing production like a bunch of maniacal task-masters, the Free line and it's Free 97 women's ski arrives a year ahead of schedule, replacing the classic Beast series as an entirely redesigned freeriding monster. The Beast was a classic, but these new sticks bring more versatility to the table, as well as a playful design that will usher you all over the mountain with confidence.
Let's dig into some of those changes. First of all, the Free 97 boasts a poplar wood core buttressed by carbon speed stringers, shaving serious weight to keep your legs fresher on the skin tracks. Dynafit also gave the Free 97 a more modern sidecut, balanced out the flex a bit more, and re-engineered the tip and tail rocker, all to improve the ski's float in softer conditions and playfulness in the trees and on groomers.
There are a lot of "one quiver" skis out there - that phrase gets tossed out a lot. The Free 97, after a thoughtful and blissful re-engineering process, is truly a ski that can usher through those early and wobbly winter days all the way into hunting stashes in the spring.
