Grivel G22 Plus Evo Crampons

The updated G22 Plus Evo Crampons are all the proof you need that the design gang over at Grivel has been hard at work improving their fleet. New for '22/'23, the G22 Evo Plus features a significantly improved adjustment system, allowing easy tinkering in the field and mitigating the pretty terrifying happenstance of losing a crampon mid-route. A more robust heel lever is now easier to manipulate with burly gloves on, with three different levels of adjustment. The length adjustment bar now boasts two batwing fins, once again allowing adjustment with heavy gloves on. In a clever move, the design team also added a couple of points at the end of each fin, further increasing traction when the going gets a little too icy for comfort.

Burly (and replaceable) front points made out of hot-forged steel offer the most reliable bite in the world, and that's an objective truth. Hot-forging, thus aligning the molecular structure of the steel, vastly improves strength and mitigates fractures under lateral stress. 12 points overall provide stability on all forms of ice, making this a great "one quiver" crampon, ideal for everything from mountaineering to technical ice and mixed climbing. 

As always, Grivel tosses in a pair of their iconic Anibott plates to keep the ice from balling up underfoot.
