Fixe Hardware Alien X Double Sling Cams

The Alien X is the sixth generation of the micro cam that obtained its first patent in 1986, in our very own Colorado. Although retaining its original flavor, the six new Alien X cams feature a bevy of thoughtful improvements. Let's get started!

First, the cams boast X-grip texture, improving lobe grip especially during its initial plaements. Next, the three large sizes (Yellow, Grey, and Red) can work as passive anchors. Fixe also re-sized the puller to make it more ergonomic, easier to use while wearing gloves, and easier to manipulate, whether during placement or extraction. With respect to its six sizes, Fixe also added 3 mm between the puller and the cams, while the metal riveting and riveting joint turn this micro cam into a more homogeneous piece, with a more compact design.

In the end, however, Fixe remained faithful to its origins, keeping the Alien X lighter and less voluminous than most cams, flexible to absorb the whips and snaps of a rope and reduce walking, retaining most of the geometry, and sticking with those tried and true colors.
