Mammut Transformer Protect 9.8mm x 60M Climbing Rope

The 9.8 Transformer climbing rope is made from transfer yarns — high quality leftover yarns usually disposed of unused due to their colour variations. As well as saving valuable resources, each meter of the resulting rope has a unique design.

Mammut's thermal Protect treatment means that ropes feature higher performance and offer 1-2 additional standard falls than non-treated ropes. Even after soaking in water for 15 minutes, a Protect rope still achieves 50% of its specified number of standard falls. The Coatingfinish on the sheath gives it a 40% higher abrasion resistance, as well as increased dirt repellency.
