The R.A.S. allows you to independently install the avalanche airbag system in an R.A.S.-ready backpack and remove it as required. You can switch packs (moving up to the larger Pro R.A.S. Ready Pack for multi-day tours, for example, using the same airbag system each time. A refillable cartridge must be purchased separately.
