The Ortovox Pro Light Avalanche Shovel is the perfect companion for ski touring. Notches in the 6061 T6 aluminum blade makes it lighter without compromising rigidity. 7075 T6 aluminum shaft is also light and strong, with a telescopic rapid-closure that is suitable for left and right-handers.
Step grooves stop your foot from slipping when digging. High sidewalls, a pronounced center ridge and sharp cutting edge guarantee optimum performance. Use to build a rescue sled or as a snow anchor. Compatible with the PRO ALU III shaft and fits in all Ortovox backpacks.
