Designed with extensive input from guides and mountain athletes, the Mutant 38 has been whittled down to a lean fighting machine, where every ounce has either been cleaved or accounted for as vital. A narrow profile and close-to-body fit serve up nimble and safe movement in the mountains, especially in restrictions and when the going gets entirely vertical. A solid framesheet and dual aluminum stays punch way above their weight-class, carrying loads unthinkable in most 38 liter packs. The pack's fabric sheds snow like a champ, as well, meaning the only weight you're carrying is what you loaded.

Alpine-specific features abound, with dual ToolLocks, rope carry, A-frame ski carry, helmet carry net, a removable lid, and buckles you can easily manipulate while wearing gloves. The Mutant 38's exterior boasts daisy chains (compatible with Voile straps) and a three-point haul system, while inside you'll find an internal hydration sleeve.
