Scarpa's 2017-18 Maestrale AT ski boot is improved with the new SpeedLock Plus ski/walk mechanism that increases your touring range of motion from 37° to 60°. A new buckle system drops the number from four to three and uses a split tongue that is bolted on rather than using hinges that can break. The boot forefoot is tightened with the Wave Closure System, which has two-buckle security without the weight penalty. A single instep buckle works with an equalized cable for a uniform and secure shell closure.
For those looking for a single boot that skis as well as it tours, the Maestrale continues to deliver.
