Osprey Variant 52 Pack
The unisex Variant series of packs have been serving alpine climbers and mountaineers for years. With features designed by mountain guides and weekend craggers alike, these packs offer plenty of function but also the excellent fit that you've come to expect from Osprey. Upgrades in 2015 include the FlapJacket closure system for lidless use, redesigned ice tool attachments, a simplified shove-it pocket and durable yet lightweight fabric updates.
The expedition suspension on all Variant Series packs consists of a removable HDPE framesheet and aluminum peripheral rod, which work in conjunction with a thermoformed, contoured snowshed backpanel for great comfort and load transfer with heavy climbing gear inside the pack, while also making it harder for snow and ice to build up on your back.
