Osprey Variant 37 Pack
The Variant 37 is your climbing pack solution. Filled with features for alpine climbing that can be mostly stripped down for the weight conscious, this pack strikes the fine balance that all climbing packs should strive for. The suspension is comfortable, without being cumbersome.
The attachment system will take any axe or tool on the market. The crampon pocket will keep your down jacket intact, or keep you from forgetting your crampons. And after you have put your crampons on your feet, the pocket is large enough to quickly stash your puffy jacket. If that weren’t enough, the pocket also holds all but the biggest shovels. The fabric is durable without being heavy. As an added bonus, it also carries skis quite well. This is the one pack to have for any ice or rock cragging day, backcountry skiing, and especially alpine climbing.
